Natasha's picked up small details on who these people were to Rocket over conversations over the months they've worked together. Quill never sounds the brightest, and Gamora sounds just as stoic as Nebula comes off as. There's Draxx who doesn't quite seem to get what's going on a lot of the time and is built in line with Thor. And Rocket's not-quite-kid who Natasha's heard precious little about and knows better than to ask.
It sounds like a family not too dissimilar to her own. People you wouldn't imagine standing each other who have somehow gotten close nevertheless. Near apocalyptic situations will do that to people though.
